According to him, despite the difficult challenges of the riverine areas, CEPEJ has contributed in providing good environment for riverine dwellers, challenging media practitioners to visit the coastal communities with a view to ascertaining things for themselves.

"The Press has helped us in publicizing our call to the Delta State Government to create a Coastal Areas Development Commission, CADA that will pilot a blue print for the development of the riverine communities.

We commend the expertise and professionalism with which the media have communicated CEPEJ messages to larger audience", Mulade stated.

The CEPEJ Boss charged media practitioners to expose challenges such as lack of electricity, lack of portable drinkable water, lack of health facilities as well as pollution from oil spills, facing the riverine communities.
