Application for SBI PO

Eligibility Criteria

In order to appear for an SBI PO Exam, candidates must pass the following eligibility criteria:

?     In order to appear for an SBI PO Exam, the candidate must have a graduation degree in any field from a University that has been recognized by the Government of India.

?     The candidate must know how to do computer operations as the exam for SBI PO is conducted online.

?     The candidates must be proficient in his region’s official language. He must know how to speak, write and read the language.

?     The candidate must be a citizen of India, a subject of Nepal or a Tibetian Refugee who has come and settled in India before the 1st of January, 1962.

?     At the time of applying for the exam, the candidate must fall between the age category of 21 to 30 years. The government has allowed age relaxation based on the category to which a person belongs. The age relaxation is five years for the SC/ST, three years for OBC, ten years for PWD and five years for ex-servicemen.

Exam Pattern

The SBI PO exams are conducted in three phases- the preliminary exams, the main exams and the final interview. These exams are conducted in online mode.

The preliminary exam is of 100 marks and contains 100 questions. To qualifying for the main exam, the student must pass the preliminary exam.

The main exam is of 200 marks and consists of 155 questions. Both of these exams include a penalty for every wrong answer given.

Students qualifying both the papers appear for the final interview, which includes group exercises.
