Ahead of the Delta local government councils’ branch election of Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, slated for Monday March 2, the Immediate Past Chairman of NULGE in Warri South Council, Comrade Tuoyo Ajinomisaghan, said he did not know the criteria used for his purported non-clearance to re-contest the chairmanship position of the union’s branch election.

Document obtained by Our Correspondent yesterday, Tuesday February 18, from the Delta State Secretariat of NULGE, revealed that it was only Mr. Raymond Emiko that was cleared to contest the chairmanship position of NULGE in Warri South Council Chapter, with the name of Comrade Tuoyo Ajinomisaghan, conspiciously missing.

The document obtained by this Newspaper which was signed by the State Secretary of NULGE, Comrade Peter Ene, cleared 32 other persons (apart from Mr. Raymond Emiko) to contest for various positions in the Warri South Council NULGE Branch election.

Fresh Angle International understands that candidates whose names were not cleared, have been directed to visit the State Secretariat of the Union on Wednesday February 26, for a meeting with the screening committee constituted for the election purpose.

Comrade Ajinomisaghan, in response to a telephone inquest by Your Soaring International Tabliod this morning, Wednseday February 19, stated: “I don’t know the criteria they used for the omission, if that is how they want to win election, we watch and see. I have not seen any petition against me.”
