APC Crisis: Tell Omo-Agege to release my husband, pregnant woman begs Lawan, IGP
Mrs. Faith Egbo, crying for help

A pregnant woman and mother of five children, including a university undergraduate and KG1 pupil, Mrs. Faith Egbo, has appealed to the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan and the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, to prevail on the Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege to release her husband, Richard Egbo, from Police detention at Asaba, Delta State.

Mrs. Faith Egbo, a teacher and resident of No. 8 Friday Ani Street, Off Ovie Palace Road, Effurun in Delta State, told Fresh Angle International in an emotionally laden voice, that her husband, Mr. Richard Egbo, who is the All Progressives Congress, APC Chairman for Okpe Local Government Area, was arrested Thursday February 28 at the Police ‘A’ Division, Sapele on the orders of Rt. Hon. Ovie Omo-Agege.

According to her, the Okpe Local Government Area APC Chairman honoured the invitation of the Police with a clear conscience, only for him to be detained on the ground that Senator Omo-Agege, instructed through a petition that he returns the Toyota Corolla Car he gave him earlier as empowerment or be apprehended.

The Toyota Corolla Car, which was allegedly bought in the name of Mr. Richard Egbo, was among eight Toyota Corolla Cars, Tricycles, Bikes and Grinding Machines, the Delta Central Senator gave out sometime in August 2019 as part of his empowerment programme.

Mrs. Egbo, who expressed her willingness to handover the car to Senator Omo-Agege, if he releases her husband, told Your Soaring International Tabloid in an exclusive interview this evening, Thursday March 5, that her only fear lies in statements credited to APC members in the area, that the Senator might not order the release of her husband, even if they return the car, because of alleged victimization and plan to replace him with one Dennis Okorugben as the new APC Chairman for Okpe Local Government Area.

According to the expectant mother, efforts to move her husband to Zone 5 Police Headquarters in Benin City, Edo State, from the Police ‘A’ Division in Sapele on Monday March 2, with a view to getting bail via court process, was frustrated by the Deputy Senate President, who purportedly directed that Richard Egbo be transferred to the Police Headquarters, Asaba.

The Senator could not be reached for comment as at 7:20PM Thursday March 5 when this report was filed, but it was alleged that the desire to take absolute control of Delta APC ahead 2023 governorship race, may trigger more clampdown on APC faithful not considered loyal.
