The Enogie of Obazuwa, HRH Ovbioba Erun Akenzuwa, has commended the Ologbotsere of Warri, Chief Ayirimi Emami, for wading into the Ologbo crisis, promising to consolidate on the efforts being made by The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Ikenwoli, with a view to resolving it.

The Enogie, who made the declaration Wednesday March 25, when the Ologbotsere of Warri Kingdom, Chief Emami, led some Warri Chiefs to visit him and the Enogie of Ologbo, corroborated an earlier position of Chief Emami, saying the issue in Ologbo is purely internal issue and not ethnic strife between Itsekiris and Benin people.

According to him, the Ologbo people of Itsekiri and Benin, have lived together for many years, insisting they will not allow some miscreants cause crisis between them.

The Enogie of Obazuwa, acknowledged that Chief Johnson Atseleghe was properly installed by the Olu of Warri, hence must be accorded the respect due him, same with the Enogie of Ologbo.

He also opined that Chief Atseleghe had always pledged his loyalty to the Oba of Benin, calling for the sustenance of harmonious co-existence between the people of Ologbo.

Speaking earlier, the Ologbotsere of Warri, Chief Ayirimi Emami, who conveyed the goodwill message of the Olu of Warri to the people of Obazuwa and Ologbo, sued for continuous peace between Itsekiris and Binis of Ologbo.

Chief Emami told the Oba of Benin representatives that what was playing out in Ologbo, “isn't about the good people of Benin and Itsekiri, but power tussle between brothers and greed of some certain elements, who are agents of destabilization and acrimony.”

Fresh Angle International understands that Chief Emami was accompanied by Chief Francis Inegbeneki, Chief Prest Udueyin and Chief Mike Odeli.
