Alleged Favouritism From Akpabio: RODNAB threatens legal action against accusers

A leading Niger Delta indigenous construction company with over 18 years experience in construction and civi engineering, RODNAB Construction, has threatened to institute legal action against those it described as mischief makers and protagonists of hate speech.

The warning is coming on the backdrop of allegations by some persons that the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Obot Akpabio and the management of Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC did RODNAB Construction a favour by paying the company three billion naira for job not done.

The Company Secretary and Legal Adviser of RODNAB Construction, Adamu Ishaku Musa, in a statement released to select - media houses, noted : "Making unfounded, negligent and reckless statements of lies against RODNAB, with the conscious and willful intention to cause economic harm to our reputation, can give rise to malicious falsehood and cyberstalking offenses punishable under sections 375 and 376 of the criminal code and section 24 of cybercrimes Act 2015 with 2, 3 and 7 years imprisonment".

While noting that Chief Akpabio was not in the federal executive council when the said contract originally scheduled to be executed for one year was awarded, Adamu Musa asserted: " All payments so far received are monies paid by the commission on the attainment of target milestones and satisfaction of quality expectations on the awarded projects".

The company averred that it doesn't do business with militants and have no need to pay them, stressing, " all the jobs we have secured and executed , even our NDDC projects were duly tendered for and won, having met all necessary conditions, which includes ensuring that the approval of the federal executive council is given".
