Ugborodo Interim Caretaker Committee suffers more depletion as two Elders decline membership
Comrade Bawo Kperegbeyi

Exactly 24 hours after Mr. Andrew Emami, distanced himself from a purportedly constituted 32-member new Ugborodo Community Interim Caretaker Committee, two elders of the community; Mr. Alfred Ebami AKA Ballado and a retired professional in the oil and gas industry, Comrade Bawo Kperegbeyi, have declined their membership from the contentious 32-member committee.

Fresh Angle International understands that the signatures used in the advertorial published in Vanguard Newspaper of Tuesday July 7, announcing the constitution of the 32-member Ugborodo Community Interim Caretaker Committee, may have been imprimatur of list of persons that purportedly attended an Elders Council Meeting held June 27 at Ode-Ugborodo, Warri South-West Local Government Area.

Comrade Bawo Kperegbeyi, who spoke exclusively to Fresh Angle International in Warri, Wednesday July 8, hinged his decision to decline the membership on personal principle and the fact that he was not consulted before the 32-member Ugborodo Community Interim Committee was constituted.

While stating that he will continue to improve the lot of the average Ugborodo indigene in his private capacity, the Ode-Ugborodo born, Comrade Kperegbeyi asserted that his desire is to experience improved peace and development in Ugborodo Community.

Mr. Alfred Ebami, who is a member of Ugborodo Community Council of Elders, stated that he was not there when membership of the controversial committee was constituted, as such he does not want to be a member of the 32-member Ugborodo Community Interim Caretaker Committee.

Recall that the Vanguard publication had the signatures of a supposedly constituted 32-member Ugborodo Community Interim Caretaker Committee, with Prince Perry Atete as Chairman and Mr. Christian Akpieyi as Secretary.

Mr. Alfred Ebami
