In compliance with the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP directive that all political aspirants should collect forms to indicate their interest to run for office on or before Thursday October 30, 2014, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan  yesterday ( Thursday October 30) at the PDP state headquarters, Asaba submitted his nomination form indicating that he will run for the Delta South Senatorial District.

There are clear indications that the form was purchased on October 17, 2014 by close associates of Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan under the auspices of the G3 group at the PDP National Headquarters in Abuja.

In response to the move, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan expressed appreciation to his teaming supporters in PDP and across the state and promised that when elected he will ensure quality representation for the people of Delta South Senatorial District as well as Delta State and Nigeria.

In a swift reaction to the move by Governor Uduaghan, the Secretary of G3, Honorable Funkekeme Solomon said at this critical moment of Nigeria's history, Dr. Uduaghan represents the best that Delta South will bring forward to advance the development of Delta State and strengthen Nigeria's democracy.

Funkekeme Solomon, who is the state Works Commissioner, explained that Dr. Uduaghan will bring his wealth of experience to bear in the Senate and called for maximum support in his election.

In a similar development, the Isoko Advancement Network has thrown its weight behind the move by Governor Uduaghan to join the Senatorial race.

The group under its Chairman, Mr. Mike Ogwah assured Dr. Uduaghan of support across the three ethnic groups, Ijaw, Isoko and Itsekiri who make up Delta South Senatorial District.
