NGO Vows: We’ II use education to eradicate crime, poverty

A Non-Governmental Organization, NGO, Bolakrafts Cares has vowed to use education as a tool to eradicate crime, criminality and poverty across the world, especially in Nigeria.

Our Senior Correspondent reports that the African representative of Bolakrafts Cares, Ejeye Rosemary gave the assurance in Warri, Delta State, Friday October 13 when the NGO distributed books, school uniforms and other educational materials valued at millions of naira to pupils as well as teachers of Pessu Primary School, Warri.

While noting that the decision to embark on the exercise is to alleviate the sufferings of the under-privilege in the society, Ejeye explained that the focus on youths is to build them up for the challenge of leadership in the future.

She disclosed that urinary/toilet facilities, renovation of existing plumbing facilities as well as maintenance of walkway were also executed at Pessu Primary School by Bolakrafts Cares.

The Chairman of Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT, Warri South Local Government Chapter, Comrade Ishmael Ikuejewa praised the gesture of Bolakrafts Cares and appealed to similar NGOs as well as corporate bodies to equally invest in the educational growth of the area.

The Head Mistress of Pessu Primary School, Mrs. Christy Onuwaje who spoke in same vein enjoined corporate bodies to support the development of education in Warri.
