Warri South: Tidi assumes duty, promises to hit the ground running

Newly sworn in chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Hon. Michael Tidi Wednesday January 10, assumed office with a promise to immediately hit the ground running.

Hon. Tidi who gave the assurance at the Warri South Council Main Secretariat shortly after receiving handover note from the Warri South Council Head of Personnel Management, Mrs. Remi Omatsuli, expressed his eagerness to work and said he looks forward to the "Warri of our dream".

While calling for the corporation of staffers of Warri South Council in the task of moving the local government forward, Hon. Tidi commended Mrs. Omatsuli for doing "a marvelous job" as HPM based on available resources.

The Warri South Local Government Boss immediately administered oath of office to his vice, Mrs. Divine Ann Iniovosa, just as he told newsman in an interview after the ceremony that he consulted widely before choosing Mrs. Iniovosa as his running mate.

Speaking earlier,the Warri South Council Head of Personnel Management, Mrs. Omatsuli described the handover of reigns of power to Hon. Tidi as an honour and prayed God to give him the wisdom to pilot affairs of the council in a peaceful atmosphere.

Mrs.  Omatsuli alongside Treasurer to Warri South Council, Mr. Otighi Sunday, later conducted Hon. Tidi and the new Warri South Vice Chairman, Hon. Divine Iniovosa round offices in both the Warri South Council Main and Sub Secretariats.
