Newly elected NAIS President, Comrade Ejueyitsi Esimaje Richard


A 400 level student of Microbiology in the University of Benin, UNIBEN, Edo State, Ejueyitsi Esimaje Richard has emerged the new President of National Association of Itsekiri Students, NAIS, Fresh Angle International on report.

Ejueyitsi alongside four other executive members emerged unopposed in a peaceful as well as free and fair election held at Rewane Villa, Warri, Delta State, Thursday January 11.

Our Senior Correspondent reports that the other four members elected are: Otuedon Sarah Oritsegbubemi of College of Education Warri-Secretary, Adagba Allwell Ojor of Federal Polytechnic, Auchi – Treasurer, Iwerebor Oritsegbemi Jeffery of UNIBEN – PRO and Boritsefe Uwamuaren  Godswill – Financial Secretary.

In a remark shortly after his emergence, Comrade Ejueyitsi Richard, promised to initiate new ideas that will move the association forward, just as he pledged to encourage discipline amongst members.

 While ensuring that his leadership will promote Itsekiri culture ‘‘internally and externally”, he appealed to Itsekiri political leaders to use their offices to empower students of Itsekiri extraction.

He promised to reinvigorate bursary initially awarded to students of Itsekiri extraction by DESOPADEC, with the collective effort of Itsekiri representatives in the Board of DESOPADEC, even as he commended the NAIS electoral committee led by Comrade Testimony Ereku for the peaceful poll.
