As Benue State experienced gruesome killing of Catholic Priests, a youth leader who worship with a Pentecostal Church, Bilabiri 11 Community in Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, has narrated how he narrowly escaped death for refusing to worship with his brothers in a White Garment Church (name withheld), adding that he was equally deprived from benefiting what is due to him in the community.

The President of Dodo Youth Federated Council of Mein Clan, Mr. Emmanuel Deboh while explaining his ordeal upon recovering from a live support, said April 15, 2018 at about 2:00am in the morning, suspected gunmen stormed his mother's apartment and started shooting sporadically into the thin air, the gunmen who were later identified as his half brothers have deprived him of community benefits over the years.

He accused the Chairman of Community Development Council of Bilabiri 11 Community, Mr. Friday Deboh for hijacking scholarship, employment chances allotted to the community as well as environmental hazard compensations that was paid by multinational companies, oil companies and Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC over the years.

Mr. Emmanuel Deboh said it all started when he agitated for a new leadership to pilot the affairs of the community GMoU committee with Shell Petroleum Development Company, SPDC, after the expiration as Chairman of GMoU, Friday went ahead to install his younger brother instead of conducting an election for a democratically elected leader to emerge.

According to him, "I started receiving various threat calls and messages as from April 5th, 2018 after opposing policies and decisions and the company refusal to inaugurate his people as members of the GMoU cluster".

Mr. Emmanuel Deboh, therefore call on security agencies and order relevant organizations and bodies with utmost urgency to passionately come to their aid and save them from the hands of the miscreants that are terrorising the community.

He alleged that Friday Deboh used Operation Delta Safe to intimidate and harass anybody that oppose his decisions and activities.

"Friday doubling as CDC Chairman and GMoU Chairman is even against the Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) Operation and Procedures Guidelines (OPPG), which states that no CDC member of a Traditional Ruler will be a member of GMoU cluster member, but for his muzzling and cunning nature in the community, nobody cautioned him. After the attack on me that fateful night with guns and machetes, I only remembered when they were stabbing me and dragging me into the bush, the next thing I knew was seeing myself in the hospital. As I speak, I have fracture on my right leg, demonstrable calvarial fracture in my skull, sinuses (paranasal) showed obviously anomatries and abnormal calcification or luscency with signs of chronically raised intracranial pressure in my skull".

Meanwhile, Mr. Friday Deboh when contacted through telephone aptly denied all allegations leveled against him and his gangs, saying it is an internal issue which needed to be settled within the family.
