As the 2019 general elections inch closer, a group known as PDP N’believers for Okowa says they are ready to mobilize other groups and Deltans at large for the re-election bid of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and other PDP candidates in the 2019 polls.

Speaking Friday November 2 during the official unveiling of PDP N’beleivers for Okowa, the Coordinator, Comrade Destiny Noritsegho, expressed support for Governor Okowa in 2019 and explained that he decided to join PDP, because of Dr. Okowa’s performance as well as the suffering his followers experienced while he was member of the opposition APC in Delta State.

Comrade Noritsegho claimed that APC is dead and buried in Delta State, adding that PDP will get express victory in 2019 because “there is no opposition in Warri”.

The Director of Community Youths and Senior Special Assistant Youth Development to Governor Okowa, Mr. Innocent Esewezie assured members of PDP N’beleivers for Okowa that the governor was willing to empower all groups supporting the State government.

He assured them that those who left APC for PDP will get the necessary right and privileges in the party, in terms of appointment and other areas.

Mr. Esewezie disclosed that a 50-man youth committee will be inaugurated soon to monitor the election per ward across the State.

Our Senior Correspondent reports that others who spoke during the endorsement of Dr. Okowa by PDP N’beleivers for Okowa included: PDP N’beleivers Ward Chairmen, Nicholas Afejuku, Chairman Ward 2, Godwin Ireyefoju, Chairman Ward 5, Patrick Izuagie, Chairman Ward 4 and Mr. James Kpenu, Chairman of all Chairmen.

High point of the event was a rally across selected streets in Warri.

Comrade Destiny Noritsegho
