Yoruba umbrella body comes up in Warri


A new umbrella body of Yoruba indigenes resident in Warri, Warri South Local Government Area, Delta State, has been formed with a mandate to galvanize Yoruba people living in the Oil City of Warri, strengthen their unity and create a formidable socio-political platform for good governance.                                 

The body which goes by the name "Association of Yoruba Indigenes, AYI", holds her meetings 4:30pm every Sunday at 7,Popo Close, Ajamimogha Road, Warri in Delta State.                                           

A statement signed by Chairman, Secretary and PRO of the body, Robert Omowole, Adekunle Adejare and Abiodun Olayiwola respectively, enjoined all Yoruba indigenes in Warri and environs to join the association so as to create a formidable avenue for addressing the welfare of Oduduwa descendants in Warri South Local Government Area.
