Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Ejueyitsi Tidi says people of Warri South have “proven once again that Warri South is PDP and PDP is Warri South”, as a result of the re-election of Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa in the Saturday’s Governorship/Houses of Assembly polls.
The Warri South Council Boss who made the declaration Monday March 11, immediately the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC declared Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa as Governor-Elect of the Delta State for a second term, expressed gratitude to God for the victory granted the State Governor, Dr. Okowa as well as Dr. Augustine Uroye and Hon. Matthew Poko Opuoru as legislators-elect for Warri South Constituency 1 and Warri South Constituency II Seats respectively.
While dedicating the victory of PDP to “the ordinary people of Warri South, members of Warri South situation room, leaders of our party, Warri South campaign council and my formidable team”, Dr. Tidi noted that PDP members “toiled day and night, campaigning and reaching out to all the wards, units, homes, different religious groups and blocs in the locality”, in the quest at ensuring total victory for PDP candidates in the February 23 and March 9 elections.
He commended members of security agencies for displaying high sense of professionalism and candor in the discharge of their duties during the recently held elections.
