The only surviving grandson of late Yonwuren Ekengbuwa, the founding lineage of Ugbuwangue Community, Warri, Prince Agindotan Yonwuren, who is over 90 years old, was on Friday August 2, introduced as the new Olare-Aja (Eldest Man) of Ugbuwangue Community.

Prince Agindotan Yonwuren’s introduction held at the Ugbuwangue Community Town-hall, Warri, following the demise of his elder brother, Pa. John Edede-Yonwuren, who passed on couple of months ago.

In his remarks before the formal introduction of the new Olare-Aja, the Acting Chairman of Yonwuren and Agbeje Family Ruling Council of Ugbuwangue, Pa. Joseph Johnson Ogbe, noted that the choice of Prince Agindotan Yonwuren, was reached after two months of thorough work by a seven-man committee led by Prince Tony Egbe.

Fresh Angle International can report that other members of the seven-man committee comprising of prominent indigenes of Ugbuwangue are: Pa. Churchill Oki (JP) Prof. Majemite Ogitsi, Mr. Samy Skinn, Mr. Tony Bobmanuel, Mr. John Izuaghe and Madam Esther Guoti.

The new Olare-Aja, Prince Agindotan Yonwuren, who is a retired Customs Officer, assured of positive changes in Ugbuwangue Community.

According to Prince Yonwuren, both indigenes and non-indigenes of the community, will start experiencing positive changes from the next three months.

The new Olare-Aja, later treated family members, associates and guests to reception at his Ugbuwangue Country-home.

Prominent Warri Chiefs, Patrick Yalaju and Dudun Dimeyin Akoma, Acting Secretary of Yonwuren and Agbeje Family Ruling Council of Ugbuwangue, Mrs. Mercy French, Hon. Lebi Yonwuren of Warri South Council Legislative Arm, one-time member of Old Warri South Local Government Caretaker Committee, Mr. Julius Otiri, PDP Chieftain, Mrs. Toju Aziz and Ogbe Eke, were among prominent personalities that graced the reception.
