Warri Monarch's reforms get boost as Itsekiri groups talk tough

The resolute decision by The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Ikenwoli to implement positive reforms that will lead to genuine development of Warri Kingdom despite murmurings by pockets of his subjects have received a major boost as five Itsekiri groups have formed a formidable alliance to key into the Monarch's revolutionary approach.                  

Fresh Angle International can report that the five groups are: Itsekiri National Youth Council, INYC, National Association of Itsekiri Graduates, NAIG, Itsekiri Benin River Pressure Group, IBRPG, HOSTCOM Itsekiri Youth Wing and Movement For The Protection of Itsekiri Homeland, Development and History, MPIHDH.                       

In a joint communiqué signed by leaders of the five groups after a meeting held in Warri Thursday August 4,they demanded for the handover of "the N1billion Dredger bought with Itsekiri DESOPADEC money and rotten away in Koko", to the Olu Palace Warri.                        

The communiqué which has the imprimatur of INYC President, Comrade Esimaje Awani, NAIG President, Comrade Edema Collins Oritsetimeyin , IBRPG President, Comrade Aderejor Raymond, MPIHDH President, Comrade Aderojor James and Comrade Ajemijereoma Gabriel Mene-Ejegi for HOSTCOM Itsekiri Youth Wing, stressed that International Oil Companies, IOCs operating in Warri Kingdom "must adhere to the local content law" in terms of employment and contract awards or relocate from Itsekiri Communities.                

While insisting that Itsekiri slots in Chevron EGTL Turn-Around Maintenance, TAM must be given to Itsekiri Nation through the Palace of The Olu of Warri pending the resolution of IRDC leadership imbroglio, the communiqué declared, "Chevron must relocate her corporate headquarters to Warri Kingdom".                    

The groups vowed, "those selling Itsekiri job slots to non-Itsekiris in Chevron EGTL TAM will soon face the wrath of Itsekiri youths", even as they stated that" the outcome of the DESOPADEC screening for Itsekiris must be made public".                     

They equally frowned against, "incessant posts about The Crown on social media, especially facebook", insisting that such posts must stop immediately.
