19-year old graduate of Biochemistry from Benson Idahosa University, Edo State, Ese Peace Dukuye has emerged the 2016 Most Beautiful Girl in Urhobo land, Fresh Angle International can authoritatively report.
The New Queen who emerged at the grand finale of the 2016 Miss Urhobo held Sunday August 7 at FreshVille Hotel, Okuokoko in Okpe Local Government Area, Delta State, hails from Eyara Town, Ughievwen Kingdom in Ughelli South Local Government Area, but represented Mosogar Kingdom in Ethiope West Local Government Area after the organizers did a random pick to get representatives from the 24 kingdoms that make up Urhobo Nation.
Organizers of the annual event, Dembaqq Entertainment Production and National Union of Urhobo Students, NUUS explained that there was balloting to pick representatives from the 24 Kingdoms in Urhobo land because some of the contestants came from the same Kingdom and they were all of Urhobo ethnic stock.

A total of 24 contestants representing the 24 Kingdom in Urhobo land registered for the beauty contest, but 10 were screened out for different irregularities and two backed out due to religious commitments, leaving the remaining 12 to undergo weeklong academic and socio-cultural tests.

Our Senior Correspondent reports that the New Queen emerged after voting via social networks and technical analysis by a three-man panel of judges which presided on the grand finale of the contest.
Responding, the 2016 Miss Urhobo, Ese Peace Dukuye whose emergence makes her “the Face of Fresh Angle International Newspaper” assured that she will use her reign to sensitize female youths of Urhobo extraction on the need to tackle Sickle Cell Anemia as well as promote the Delta based Tabloid, Fresh Angle International.

While commending Urhobo Progressive Union, UPU for helping to promote Urhobo language, Miss Urhobo 2016 appealed to parents and guardians to teach their wards Urhobo language.

While commending organizers of the event for successfully putting up the showpiece, the Okpe Council Boss promised that the next edition of the contest will be hosted and sponsored by Okpe Local Government Council.
Five runners-up emerged at the end of the contest, even as the organizers stressed that the annual event is organized to foster unity in Urhobo land and promote the entertainment industry in Delta State.
