Delta Cabinet Reshuffle Exclusive: Emu, Uzum, Okowa’s CPS gang up against Ukah
Delta State Commissioner For Information, Mr. Patrick Ukah

Following strong indications that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State is making move to reshuffle his cabinet, the State Commissioner for Economic Planning, Kingsley Emu, the Executive Assistant on Orientation to the Governor, Mr. Eugene Uzum and the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Governor, Mr. Charles Ehiedu Aniagwu are reportedly working round the clock to unseat the State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Patrick Ukah, sources from Asaba have hinted Fresh Angle International.

Report says the reason for the imminent cabinet reshuffle is as a result of the inabilities of some Commissioners to perform their executive functions effectively.

The Governor who was disappointed with their performances was discouraged with their lapses but has no other option than to reshuffle his cabinet in no distant time.

Your Soar- Away International Tabloid gathered that in one of the meetings with the Governor which Kingsley Emu, Eugene Uzum, Charles Ehiedu Aniagwu and others were in attendance, Emu and his cohorts, allegedly stood their grounds on the need for Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to drop Patrick Ukah and replace him with either Aniagwu or Uzum, but Okowa in his wisdom purportedly rejected the request.

When it was glaring that the Governor had refused their request, Charles Ehiedu Aniagwu and Eugene Uzum, allegedly threatened the Governor that they want to resign their appointments.

However, as the speculated move by the Governor to reshuffle his cabinet soars, a lot of scheming have been going on that is spearheaded by the Commissioner for Economic Planning, Kingsley Emu and his surrogates to see that Patrick Ukah is dropped of his portfolio as Commissioner for Information.

Besides, one thing Kingsley Emu, Eugene Uzum and Charles Ehiedu Aniagwu failed to understand was that the position of the Commissionership was zoned to each of the Local Government Areas that make up the State which Patrick Ukah was opportuned to be a representative of Oshimili North in the cabinet.

It was also gathered that under the administration of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, Emu, who was a Commissioner in-charge of Commerce and Industry was sacked based on alleged act of insubordination.

Emu was also allegedly involved in N369 million fraud that wrecked the First City Monument Bank, (FCMB), Asaba Branch, which the Branch Manager, Mabel Asaije was arrested by men of the Delta State police command.

According to sources, Kingsley Emu is doing everything possible to see that he gets grip of the leadership of the State based on his Ika connection.

Investigations revealed that Kingsley Emu’s attitude towards the present leadership of the State has made him to display impunity in handling issues related to governance in the state.

This is not the first time Kingsley Emu is hijacking political positions from those in authority, he was alleged to have hijacked the functions of the Commissioner for Finance, Mr. David Edevbie. The seeming unfriendly character of Kingsley Emu had resulted to several attempts by David Edevbie to resign his appointment.

Also learnt was that contractors that have dealings with the State Government lobby their ways through Kingsley Emu for recognition before payments are made for work executed.

If the Commissioner for Economic Planning, Kingsley Emu, Executive Assistant on Orientation, Eugene Uzum and the Chief Press Secretary to The governor, Charles Ehiedu Anaigwu are not called to order by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, it may generate to a lot of mixed feelings from different quarters of the state.

Reacting to the strange attitude of the governor’s aides, many persons from different sections of the media spoke on the issue.
