The member representing Warri South Constituency I in Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. (Mrs.) Omawumi Beatrice Udoh says that the 2016 Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC Budget was not padded as widely reported.

Hon. Udoh who is also the Chairman, House Committee on Commerce and Industry explained that what happened in the 2016 DESOPADEC budget was the allocation of more projects to some communities than others , instead of following the DESOPADEC law.

The lawmaker assured her constituents that correction will be made to the budget in order to correct the grey areas.

While addressing her constituents on Thursday September 29 in Warri, she declared the storm was over, referring to challenges she might have had with her constituents and Peoples Democratic Party members in Warri South Local Government Area.

The former Chief Whip of the State House of Assembly, re-assured her Constituents of more robust representation in the State House of Assembly, even as she noted that it’s time for a complete revolution and complete change.

She appealed to Warri South PDP members and people of Warri South to unite in order to get the much needed development from the State Government.

Hon. Udoh explained that the Town Hall Meeting was to let the people know that Warri South is peaceful and PDP is united in Warri.

The Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Hon. Matthew Mofe Edema, charged people of Warri South to suggest positive ways of moving the Local Government and the State forward.

Hon. Timeyin averred that no one can beat Hon. Udoh’s record so far in Delta State House of Assembly as Warri South Constituency I is concerned.

The Political Adviser to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Hon. Omimi Esquire lauded the government of Delta State under Dr. Okowa for “doing great” and extolled Hon. Udoh for her robust representation of the good people of Warri South Constituency I.

Other notable Warri South Politicians at the Town Hall Meeting include the State Commissioner for Transport, Mr. Vincent Uduaghan, Warri South PDP Chairman, Mr. Johnson Agbeyegbe, Dr. Augustine Uroye, Mrs. Gbubemi Ikolo and Mr. Ama Agbajor.
