Barely six months in office, the Commissioner for Agriculture in Kogi State, Dr. Tim Nda Diche has resigned, Fresh Angle International can authoritatively report.

Our Kogi State Correspondent reports that his resignation was announced by the Director General Media and Publicity to Governor Bello, Fanwo Kingsley at the end of the state executive meeting held at the government house in Lokoja.

Fanwo who failed to give details why the Bassa born business man tendered his resignation, told journalists that the former commissioner resigned on personal ground.

The Director General added that his resignation was received by the Secretary to the State Government Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade.

Dr. Diche was among 15 commissioners appointed by Governor Yahaya Bello in June 2016.

It wasn’t clear if Dr. Diche was not in good terms with his principal, but unconfirmed Sources however has it that the former commissioner was tired of signing documents and memos which were not originally prepared by his ministry.

Sometime last week, governor Yahaya Bello, threatened to sack any commissioner who is not in tune with his administration’s new direction agenda to move the state forward.

Governor Bello gave the warning while addressing reporters after an unscheduled, on-the-spot assessment visit to the Government Day Secondary School, Adankolo in the State’s capital, Lokoja.

He sounded warning to his Aides, saying he would sack anyone who does not conform with the policies of the government aimed at making the State better.
