All Stars League will improve Nigeria Football --SFC President, Asapokhai

The president of Shell Football club, Warri, Delta State, Dave Asapokhai says All Stars Football League will help to improve Nigeria Football especially in the area of young football talent discoveries.

Mr. Asapokhai made the disclosure on Saturday June 24 during the return league friendly match between Shell Football Club SFC, Warri and Amasoma All Stars Football Club, AFC, Amasoma, Bayelsa State, at Shell Football Club field Warri, Delta State.

He advocated for the establishment of professional Young Stars football league in order to make it more competitive, nothing that football is a great game, urging the young professionals to come join them to make the game great in all parts of the country.

The SFC President,  Asapokhai stressed that football brings the people together irrespective of tribe religion and background hence more support is needed to make the game great in all parts of the country.

The Chairman of Amasoma FC, Bayelsa State, John Arazi lauded the officiating and his players describing the game as fair play by both sides.

He noted that the first league played forth night ago ended goalless draw at Amasoma both sides scoring no goals.

However the match between Shell Football Club and Amasoma FC produced three goals, at the first half Wale Oshadiya of SFC scored a brace goal at the first half and Henry Ditimiyan netted the third goal at the second half of the game bringing the score line to 3 nil while Amasoma FC could not reply any of the goals.

The encounter wish attracted football spectators and notable SFC and Amasoma FC fans all the way from Bayelsa, saw many scoring chances missed by both sides at the first and second halves of the game. 

Final score, SFC 3- O Amsoma FC, the friendly match continues.
