Why Okowa’s expansion of Ubeji Road is critical -Environmentalist
A section of the ongoing Ubeji road project

Warri based environmental activist cum development professional, Mr. Omawumi Elete says the ongoing rehabilitation and expansion of Ubeji Road in Warri alongside the drainage construction project by the Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa administration of Delta State will ensure free flow of traffic as well as accommodate the high volume of trucks conveying petroleum products in and out of the densely populated Ubeji, Egbokodo and Ifie communities in the oil city of Warri.

While giving plaudits to Dr. Okowa for expanding the road project which was awarded by his predecessor to a dual carriage way, Elete who declined comment on his alleged councillorship ambition in the forthcoming Delta State Local Government election, appealed to the PDP leadership in Warri South Local Government Area to continually monitor the contractor handling the project so as to ensure quality and timely completion.

The development professional who spoke to Fresh Angle International in Warri Thursday July 20 during an exclusive chat, congratulated Governor Okowa on his 58th birthday anniversary and the “safe delivery of his grandchild on July 9, 2017”.

He appealed to authorities of Warri South Local Government to wade into the abandoned road project linking Mason Island at Ifie Community in Warri, which was awarded by the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC with a view to ensuring that work recommence on the strategic road project.
