The President of National Coalition of Niger Delta ex-Agitators, NCNDE-A, Eshanekpe Israel, a.k.a Akpodoro has hinted that following alleged defamation of his character by the Special Assistant on Political to the Executive Director Project, EDP, Engr. Sam Adjogbe of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Jaro Egbo, he has instructed his team of lawyers to drag the culprits before the law, stating that his activities as not only a youth leader in Urhobo land but a prominent ex-militant leader in the Niger Delta region is an open book for all, adding that he is a man of impeccable character.
Akpodoro stated this in Abuja Saturday July 22 while reacting to a post by Egbo on a Whatsapp Chat Forum: APC/APM 4 SEN. O. OMO-AGEGE describing it as an unimaginable blackmail of immeasurable proportion aimed at inciting public anger and hate against his person for no just cause.
The post in the Omo-Agege Forum declaring Akpodoro wanted with phone number: 09090000385, was linked to Egbo. “This is to inform the general public that the security agencies have declared Mr. Israel Eshanekpe A.K.A. General Akpodoro wanted for sundry crimes of blackmail, extortion and stealing. He is about 5 feet tall, dark in complexion and with a limb from gunshot injury he suffers from robbery operation years back. Handsome reward awaits anyone with useful information. According to the pro-President Buhari ex-militant leader, the post was one in a series of threats issued him by Engr. Adjogbe and his ‘foot soldiers’ since April 24 this year, threatening through a text message to blackmail and build in him an image of notoriety in the eyes of the world.
The ex-combatant Niger Delta Creek Combatant further disclosed that following the text message from EDP were barrage of calls from his cohorts threatening to deal with him wherever he was found.
This latest macabre dance by the EDP and his gangs according to Akpodoro, would not be left unchallenged if only to prove to world the strength in his (Akpodoro) character and to further buttress his position on the choice of Adjogbe as an EDP, noting that he least deserved that position amongst Urhobo sons and daughter.
The youth leader further averred that trouble started between him and the EDP shortly after the meeting of all ex-militants and youth of the region with the management of the intervention agency midwife by him on behalf of the Commission at the instance of the MD, Nsima Ekere.
He stated that Adjogbe was jittery by the success of the meeting and all the terms gentlemanly agreed upon were deliberately thwarted by him saying, “I immediately challenged him of being against peace and tranquility of the region because one of the cardinal objectives of the MD was to empower the youth of the region through the group led by me.
As if that wasn't enough he unleashed his miscreants on me to issue threats and sundry criminal acts but with this, Adjogbe and his men have bitten more than they can chew. They will surely hear from my lawyers in days ahead. I wonder why a so called educated man who says he is a lawyer, would go so low as to posting such defamatory material against a 5 star street general like me.” he stated. The EDP leader and the anti Buhari elements in the Commission being staunch member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP describing Egbo as “food is ready errand boy” with all the attributes of a parasitic liability and a half baked lawyer who has never practiced any day since graduated from school.
