An Aide to Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa and former Executive Secretary of Local Education Authority, Warri South Local Government, Hon. Griftson Timeyin Omatsuli says his decision to contest for Warri South Local Government Area Chairmanship position is as a result of the call of the people and the need to annexe the economic potentials of the area.

Hon. Omatsuli,a one -time Chief Whip of Warri South Legislative Arm and community leader, gave the explanation Saturday August 19 at Egbokodo in Warri at an enlarged general meeting of PDP leaders and members.

The former legislator who was flanked by several of his supporters in the 19 DSIEC created wards that make up Warri South Local Government Area, described himself as the people's servant, adding that his door will always be accessible at all times.

While promising to continue with his empowerment of people at the grassroots, Hon. Omatsuli enjoined those he might have offended in the past to join hands with him in the struggle to move Warri South Local Government forward.

He recalled couple of occasions in the past when he had to step down for other House of Assembly aspirants of PDP because of his believe in party supremacy and promised to stick with the decision of the leadership of PDP on who eventually becomes the Warri South PDP chairmanship candidate in the forthcoming Delta State Local Government election.
