Deputy Chief Whip of Warri South Legislative Arm, Hon. Augustine Oritsebemigho Tête has assured PDP leaders of Obodo/Ubeji ward that once he “emerges the party flag bearer”, he will return to seek their full support in his bid of becoming Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area in the forthcoming Delta State Local Government election.
The lawmaker who currently represents Obodo/Ubeji ward in Warri South Legislative Arm, gave the assurance Saturday August 19 at Egbokodo,Warri while publicly declaring his chairmanship ambition at an enlarged general meeting of PDP leaders and members.
The Chairmanship hopeful who was flanked by some of his supporters, thanked leaders and people of his ward for voting massively to elect him councilor to represent the ward about three years ago and noted that the meeting afforded him the rare opportunity to express his gratitude as well as canvas for their backing in his quest at becoming the next chairman of Warri South Local Government.

In an address, Chairman of Obodo/Ubeji Ward 1, Mr. Peter Oghomienor advised against imposition of candidate in order to further enhance the practice of democracy.
Mr. Oghomienor whose address was read by the Ward Secretary, Mike Okerentie, stressed that the ward leaders believe “in democracy and level playing ground for all our aspirants”.
He appealed to PDP leaders at the state and local government levels to allow “the rural area of the local government to produce the chairman in order to balance the political equation”.
