Disregard names penciled down for appointment, HOSTCOM tells Okowa

The Engr. Tuoyo Woligho leadership of Host Communities of Nigeria ( Producing Oil and Gas) Itsekiri Chapter, has called on Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, to disregard names forwarded to him for appointments, saying the two factions of HOSTCOM have not reached consensus on the issue.

The call is sequel to a communique issued at the end of the HOSTCOM Itsekiri Chapter first quarter meeting held February 11 in Warri, Delta State.

The communique signed by Engr. Tuoyo Woligho; Chairman, Pa Otimeyin Tonukarin; Secretary, Comrade Jemi Mene Ejegi; Youth Leader and Mrs. Tsaninomi Mary; Woman Leader, expressed confidence in the Evang. Michael Diden led committee set up to settle and bring lasting peace to the 8 - year crisis in HOSTCOM Delta State.

Fresh Angle International understands that the Managing Director of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Bashorun Askia Ogieh, is also a member of the" very high profile" persons that make up the reconciliation committee.

While saluting Governor Okowa and giving him," pass mark in his stride to spread dividends of democracy to every ward in Delta State," the Engr. Woligho led HOSTCOM Itsekiri Chapter, also recognized " The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Ikenwoli, whose charismatic leadership and advocacy for peace, have reached all Itsekiri communities".

They commended the Executive Director of Projects, DESOPADEC, Hon. Daniel Mayuku and the Commissioner representing Itsekiri Nation in the board of the commission, Hon. Griftson Omatsuli, for organizing a town hall meeting, " which gave communities the opportunity to propose their choice projects," urging them to implement the projects for the good of the communities.
