Nana Primary School Old Students’ Association, Warri, has donated a solar powered system to energize the borehole in Nana Model Primary School, Our Principal Correspondent, reports.
Coordinator of Nana Primary School Old Students’ Association, Mr. Fred Olomuro, who made the presentation Wednesday December 11 on behalf of the founder of Nana Primary School Old Students’ Association, Mrs. Monica Omorodion, explained that cash was given to teachers who were outstanding in academic service delivery and pupils, who distinguished themselves academically, from primary one to primary six, during the just concluded first term.
Mr. Olomuro, promised that teachers in the school will receive three hundred and one thousand, while pupils that were selected from primary one to six, will receive forty-five thousand naira.

Whilst pointing out that Nana Primary School Old Students’ Association, was determined to always support the school to compliment the state government’s effort, Mr. Olomuro hinted that every year, the Old Students, focus on three-point agenda of Infrastructural improvement, staff welfare and pupils support, adding that this year's intervention, covers the three agenda.
Mr. Olomuro, who is a community leader and Health, Safety and Environment expert, said Nana Model Primary School was the pace setter school in Warri and environs, producing majority of pupils who later enrolled into prestigious Federal Government College, Warri.
He noted that Nana Primary School, helped in moulding them, hence they will always come to give back to the school.

According to him, the invention embarked upon by the association, cost over N1.2 million, appreciating members for their immense support, even as he appealed for continued commitment from members of the association.
The Head Teacher of Nana Model Primary School, Mr. Mofe Mawe, gave plaudits to the old students’ association for always coming to their aid, especially by donating the portable water.
The Executive Secretary of Warri South Local Education Authority, Augusta Omatsone, who was represented by Mrs. Mafe Yemi, appreciated the old students for their support.
Representative of His Eminence, Papa Ayodele Oritsejafor, Pst. Niyi Dada, prayed that government should always come out with policies that would enhance education.
The Principal, Nana Model Secondary School, Mrs. Bridget Madamedon, also spoke during the donations and Christmas Carol.
A primary one pupil, Ozele Ufuoma, Godwin Emmanuel; Primary Two Pupil, Ekeremieye Dorcas; Primary three pupil, Esegbue Wealth, primary four pupil, Obiorah Chikanyima primary five pupil and a primary six pupil, Dickson Grace, were among those that benefited from the cash gift.
