The newly installed Chartered President of Rotary Club of Ogunu, Warri, Rotarian Nelson Onuoha has declared that the newly Chartered Rotary Club of Ogunu will embark on renovation and equipping of Ogunu Community Health Centre, which according to him is presently in a dilapidated state.

Rotarian Nelson Onuoha gave the assurance Saturday May 5 in Warri during his installation/presentation of chartered certificates and launching of community services by Rotary Club of Ogunu Community, Warri, Delta State.

He disclosed that Rotary Club of Ogunu was Chartered March 1, 2018, thereby making him the first President of Rotary Club of Ogunu.

Rotarian Onuoha’s tenure started 2017 and will elapse in 2019, because the club was not chartered until 2018.

While appealing to the club’s Board of Directors, Chartered members as well as well wishers to support him in achieving their set targets, he promised that the club will embark on renovation of Ugbuwangue Primary Health Care Centre in order to improve the health care of people of the community.

The District Governor Rotary Club International District 9141, Rotarian Ogiemudia Ikponmwonsa charged members of Rotary Club of Ogunu, to make use of available opportunities in Rotary International to better  the lives of the people.

DG Ikponmwonsa further charged the club to copy good things from other Rotary Clubs within the City, adding that he wants to come back to commission projects in Ogunu and Ugbuwangue communities in 2019.

Our Senior Correspondent reports that others who spoke during the installation/presentation of certificates to Rotary Club of Ogunu included the club’s trainer, Rotarian Lawrence Ukubeyinje, Rotary Club of Warri President, Rotarian Chris Ojeke, Rotarian Happy Appai and  Rotarian Felix Adeoye.
