Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa on Tuesday July 31 handed down shocker to his appointees and those aspiring for legislative positions in 2019 under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party,warning against any attempt to induce "credible persons" that will be detailed to conduct the party primary slated for September.

Dr. Okowa bluntly told his appointees who wish to be delegates in the fast approaching PDP primaries to resign their appointment or forget being executive delegates.

The Governor who had participated in a PDP caucus meeting held at Asaba Monday July 30 before addressing the select-gathering of PDP chieftains and legislative aspirants,stressed that his administration will ensure a free and transparent PDP primaries in the state.

Fresh Angle International gathered that founder of PDP in Delta State and former Governor of the state, Chief James Ibori was among prominent members of the party that attended the PDP caucus meeting held at Asaba yesterday and it was at the meeting that resolution was reached for the conduct of a primary devoid of imposition of candidates.

Meanwhile, indication has emerged that the sale of forms for legislative aspirants under the PDP platform will commence Saturday August 4.
