HOSTCOM Itsekiri Youths split, faction Petitions Warri Monarch
Olu of Warri, Ogiame Ikenwoli

The youth wing of HOSTCOM Itsekiri chapter has broken into two factions, with the Prince Ajemijeroma Mene Ejegi leadership accusing the Uwangue of Warri, Chief Gabriel Awala of taking sides with the other faction and handing over all properties of the organization, including the HOSTCOM Itsekiri chapter bus to the other faction “against the court judgement, the organization’s constitution and the instruction of the king (Olu of Warri)”.

In a petition addressed to the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Ikenwoli, the Ejegi leadership warned that the recent occurrence might ignite another serious crisis among youths of the factions if not properly checked.

The petition which was signed by Prince Ajemijeroma Mene Ejegi- Youth Leader, Comrade Henry Ebisin- Publicity Secretary and Comrade Wesley Madamedon-Asst. Youth Leader, alleged that the other faction is claiming to have been inaugurated and sworn to office “by the Palace of the Olu of Warri through the Uwangue”.

The Ejegi leadership averred, “it has come to our notice that most letters of complaint we wrote to the palace are blocked before it gets to the king, therefore  does not receive attention”, hence the need to openly “ask for a redress of this injustice before things go out of hand”.

Fresh Angle International gathered that the leadership crisis in HOSTCOM Itsekiri youth wing has seen both factions dragging themselves to the legal department of Area Command Office of the Nigerian Police Force as well as writing petitions and counter petitions to DESOPADEC, with the threat of the crisis snowballing into litigation.
