KogiDecides: We are on guard despite reversal of deployment of former ADC to Governor Bello, PDP declares
CSP Usman Musa

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, says they will, “stay on guard”, despite reversal of, “the deployment of former ADC to Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, CSP Usman Musa as the Officer in Charge of Security for Registration Area Centers, RACs,”.

The PDP in a statement signed last night by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, warned: “The IGP should be ready to accept responsibility for any breakdown of law and order as well as directly bear the guilt for any loss of life in any part of the state during the election, if he fails to withdraw CSP Musa, who have since been transferred to Lagos state”.

The party alleged: “CSP Musa has been compromised and directed by the governor to use excessive force, intimidate and arrest voters, aid thugs to unleash violence and ensure that votes do not count. We have also been made aware of directives by the APC and agents of Governor Yahaya Bello to shoot and kill during the election, to aid the manipulation of the electoral process for the APC”.

Meanwhile, Peoples Democratic Party Governorship Candidate for the election slated for the next 48 hours, Saturday November 16, Mr. Musa Wada, has urged voters in the state, “not to be deterred by the ongoing threat of violence, intimidation and harassment by hired political thugs”, saying, “they should come out to vote for him”.

Mr. Musa Wada

Wada who reportedly made the call while addressing a large crowd of party members and supporters during a rally at Ayangba yesterday, promised to reduce poverty among the people if elected the next governor.

Our Kogi State Correspondent reports that the gubernatorial contender who promised to rule with the fear of God, averred: “I will review all the injustices done to you by the present APC Government in Kogi State. I want to assure you that your sacrifice to liberate Kogi State will not go unnoticed, because my first priority as governor, if Allah permits, will be total human and physical development”.

Wada urged the Independent National Electoral Commission to allow peoples' vote to count, calling on police and other security agencies to be professional in the discharge of their duties, before, during and after the election.
