Delineation: INEC flouting Tinubu's intervention, we won't allow PU allocation in Warri South - INYC warns

The Itsekiri National Youth Council, INYC, says the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, is flouting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's intervention as it relates to the controversial delineation of units and wards in Warri South Local Government Area.

The prominent Itsekiri youth body in a statement made available to Fresh Angle International Thursday night, July 30, noted that while the Commission, adhered to President Tinubu's directives in the delineation of Warri South and Warri North Local Government Areas, it refused to follow same in Warri South Local Government.

Public Relations Officer of INYC, Hon. Ebigbeyi Tuoyo, who authored the statement, averred that selective application of President Tinubu's intervention, will not be accepted.

He stressed that if INEC refuse to follow Tinubu's directive in the delineation of Warri South, the Commission, should not come to the local government area for any form of polling unit, PU allocation.

The statement, reads:"The *Itsekiri National Youth Council [INYC]* wishes to address the people of Warri Federal Constituency and the general public on the ongoing delineation exercise.

"We acknowledge that INEC followed the President’s directives in the delineation matter in *Warri South West* and *Warri North* Local Government Areas.

" We are concerned that INEC is now *refusing to follow the same President’s directives in Warri South LGA*.

" If INEC refuse to follow President's directives in the delineation matter in Warri South, they should not come to Warri South for any form of polling unit allocation.

"Warri South people demand equal treatment, fairness and strict compliance with the President’s directives. Selective application will not be accepted."
