Newly elected Chairman of Aja-Etan Community Trust in Warri South Local Government Area, Delta State, Deacon Billy Ekele has assured that the three-year tenure of his administration will focus more on peace building as well as attract development to Aja-Etan Community.

Deacon Ekele praised his predecessor, Mr. Johnson Agbeyegbe and members of his leadership for maintaining peace in the community despite challenges and thanked indigenes of Aja-Etan for the confidence reposed on his executive.

 While promising that his leadership will be open to good ideas that will create human capital development, encourage youth to embrace education and entrepreneurial development, the new Warri community chairman appealed to all Aja-Etan indigenes to join hands with his executive in the task of moving the community to greater heights.

He enjoined multinational oil companies and other cooperate organizations operating in Aja-Etan to be more committed to the development of the community, just as he commended neighboring communities for their support.

Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Tidi in his address, charged Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company, WRPC and other companies operating in Aja-Etan community to continue assisting host communities.

Dr. Tidi advised the newly sworn-in Aja-Etan community Trust not to be far from the council in order to get further support.

Immediate past chairman of Aja-Etan community and chairman of PDP Warri South, Mr. Johnson Agbeyegbe assured the new executive of his continuous backing.

Our Senior Correspondent reports that award of excellence was presented to WRPC, Matrix Energy as well as other companies operating around the community.

Others who spoke included: Hon. (Mrs.) Shola Daibo, Management staff from WRPC and Olare-Aja of Aja-Etan, Pa. Richard Ejegi.

Highpoints of the event were the swearing-in of a15-member Trust Executive and the Youth executive by the Olare-Aja, Pa. Richard Ejegi.

Other members of the Community Trust Executive are: Meyiwa Ejegi-Vice Chairman, Mene Ejegi Paul- Secretary, Segun Smart-P.R.O, Mr. Olukuyon Edirin-Treasurer, Mr. Uweja Thompson-Financial Secretary, Mr. Tonukarin Kingsley-Organizing Secretary, Mr. Mene Alkinson-Assistant Secretary, Mr. Ejegi Victor-Assistant-PRO, Mr. Kutu Bawo-Assistant Organising Secretary, Mr. Mene Ejegi Macdonald- Welfare Officer, Mr. Edema Weyinmi-Assistant Welfare Officer, Mr. Olukoyon Mogbeyi-Provost, Mrs. Dorothy Aruntotuoma-Women Leader, Barr. Mene-Ejegi Ben-Home based Coordinator, while the Youth Exco includes: Mr. Olukuyon Daniel-chairman, Mr. Edema Jacob-Vice Chairman, Mr. Agbeyegbe David-Secretary, Mr. Gabriel Jemi Ajemijeroma Ejegi-PRO, Mr. Tosan Ayenbi-Assistant Secretary, Mr. Mayuku Edward-Assistant PRO, Mr. Illaba Jonathan-Organizing Secretary, Ejegi Abel- Assistant Financial Secretary, Mr. Ekele Femi- Treasurer, Mr. Odun Gbubemi-Assistant Provost, Abolokeji Benjamin-Provost and Temi Olley.
