Member of Upper Benue River Basin Development Authority, Yola and leader of All Progressives Congress, APC in Delta State, Alero Naomi Tenumah, has called on " Itsekiri leaders in PDP to bury their heads in shame and join hands with other well-meaning Itsekiris, particularly those of us in APC to claim the governorship mandate of Delta State All Progressives Congress, APC Governorship Candidate, Chief Great Ogboru at the courts".
Tenumah who berated the Itsekiri PDP leaders, " for allowing themselves to be fooled for a second time by rigging the last governorship election in favour of Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa on the false impression that they would be given strategic appointments", stressing that they should work with APC leaders to ensure that," Ogboru gets his mandate freely given to him by legitimate votes of majority of Deltans".
According to the APC Chieftain, " Governor Okowa has exhibited disdain towards Itsekiri Nation in terms of projects' execution and appointments, right from his first tenure", adding," his appointments so far at the commencement of his second tenure, has further bruised the dignity of Itsekiri Nation". T
he former President of National Association of Itsekiri Graduates, NAIG, emphasised that the APC Governorship Candidate, Chief Great Ogboru" has the interest of Itsekiri Nation, unlike Okowa who has shown apparent hate towards Warri Kingdom".
