The management of FUTGA Petrol Station in Otokutu, near Warri, Delta State, has called on the public and customers to disregard the falsehood and misleading reports by mischiefs and criminal elements accusing it of selling adulterated petrol to the public.
In a Press Release issued Friday October 11 in Warri, Delta State, by the Manager, Mr. Mike Omosade and made available to newsmen in Warri, the firm said "our attention has been drawn to a misleading report published by TribuneOnline, on 10th of October, 2019, with the caption "Outrage in Delta over sale of adulterated petrol in Warri filling station".
"As a responsible Nigerian corporate organization, we have and shall continue to serve the public, our customers and Nigerians satisfactorily, therefore, it is morally right to put the record straight that at FUTGA Petrol Station, we do our business in conformity with the DPR existing laws and best practices".
He said "some persons who impersonated to be Policemen and one Ms. Tracy Shalokpe, actually made attempts to blackmail us by falsely accusing us of selling adulterated petrol with an intention to iillegally extort money from us, but, thanks to the vigilance of the Nigeria Police Warri Area Command for prompt intervention and arresting of the culprits who have been charged to the law court to account for their activities".
It stated further that "the Police, DPR and relevant government agencies are already handling the matter.
Finally, we are responsible corporate organization, we have never sold adulterated petrol and we shall never do so, because it is our corporate responsibility to serve our customers and the public better.
