Four burglars at about 2:00am today, Wednesday February 12, broke into the compound of one Mr. John Oluyemi at New-Okpe Road, Jeddo in Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State and made away with a Toyota Camry Car, five Plasma TV sets, Jewelries, phones, laptops and undisclosed amount of money.

Our Correspondent gathered that the robbers who came with cutlasses, shovels and battle-axe, raided the three flats in the compound and threatened to rape two daughters of one Mr. Daniel Omoswhofa Ogboru (one of their victims) if they refused to bring out their phones.

One of Mr. Daniel Ogboru’s daughters, who identified herself as Joy Omoswhofa, said the criminals used shovel to broke the doors and asked them to bring their phones, but they refused and that provoked the thieves, who threatened to rape she and her sister. It was the threat of rape that made their father, Mr. Daniel Ogboru, to confront the burglars, who hit Mr. Ogboru on his head with a shovel and asked him to lie down, facing the floor.

Wife of owner of the property, Mrs. Oluyemi, told Fresh Angle International: “When the thieves were breaking into one of our tenant’s house, I called my husband on the phone, because he was not around and he responded by saying he called the Red Beret, but they did not pick”.
