Chairman of Omadino Community Governing Council in Warri South Local Government Area, Delta State, Mr. Oritseweyinmi Agbonekuya Aginejuone, has called on the Inspector- General of Police, Mr. Mohammed Adamu, to order the Warri Area Command of the Nigeria Police, to institute criminal proceedings against Mr. Charles Omadeli.
According to Aginejuone, Mr. Omadeli, “unilaterally and without consultation and/or consent of the leaders of Omadino Community”, used, “his personal account with Zenith Bank Plc to collect money meant for Omadino Community and six other communities from CONOIL NIGERIA LTD”.
The Warri Community leader, who commended IGP Adamu for ensuring that Zenith Bank released the statement of account of Mr. Charles Omadeli, on the orders of Magistrate Court 4 in Warri, averred that he was unsatisfied with the way the Warri Area Command of the Police was handling the issue.
He alleged that his life has continued to come under threat, due to his agitation that CONOIL and Mr. Omadeli, “stop shortchanging the communities under CONOIL area of operation”.
Aginejuone had petitioned the Police in Warri over alleged threat to his life.
