Survey work to commence in 400 acres Modular Refinery, Petrochemical project in Koko

Survey work for the hugely anticipated Modular Refinery, LNG and Petrochemical plants’ project situated in a 400-acre expanse of land at Koko, headquarters of Warri North Local Government Area, Delta State, will commence next week, Fresh Angle International can report.

                                                                                         

This much was disclosed Wednesday March 18 by Mr. Rowland Diamond E. Tonwe, the Group Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, CEO of Erowtons Group of Companies (the indigenous company that owns the project) when he played host to members of Modular Refiners Association of Nigeria, MRAN, in Warri Delta State.

 

Mr. Tonwe explained that 150 acres will accommodate resort, trade centre and hotel, while the Modular Refinery, LNG and Petrochemical plants, will occupy the remaining 250 acres.

 

He also disclosed that the project comprises of 500 Housing Units, 500 Unit Office Space and 3-Star Hotel.

 

The Chairman/Head of Technical Team, Modular Refiners Association of Nigeria, MRAN, Hon. Benjamin Iwetan, in his remarks, noted that the body which was founded in 2015 and came to limelight after a conference held in Abuja on the behest of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, was poised to take away youths and women from pipeline vandalism, illegal refining and economic sabotage.

While noting that MRAN is the official body mandated by the Federal Government to handle issues of modular refining in the country, Hon. Iwetan described Erowtons Group of Companies tripod project in Koko as a welcome development that will boost the economy of the State.

 

Lead Consultant to MRAN, Dr. Smart Erikowa, Niger Delta Coordinator of MRAN, Chief Kalaiti Jephthah and Engr. Tuoyo Woligho, MRAN’s Head of Administration, were among members of the association that spoke extensively during the interactive visit.
