Suicide was on my mind months ago - Nollywood Diva, Anita reveals

One of Nollywood's unsung heroines, Miss Okhiria Anita, has revealed that she became depressed and the only option that kept coming to her mind about four months ago, was the thought of killing herself.

 

The highly sociable, tall and light - skinned multi dimensional personality, who made the disclosure in an exclusive telephone chat with Fresh Angle International, Saturday March 21, stated that the feeling of suicide was as a result of: "Hurt by the people i trusted with my life, i was forced to live a life of another".

 

She added, "I wouldn't allow family and societal pressures push me to where i don't belong, where I am not valued. Love is not enough. Don't take what you can't offer and don't offer what you can't give".

The Agric Educationist by training, who can manage Agro - allied projects, is also a fashion designer and all - round beautician.

 

On why she intends relocating to Delta State from Lagos that is considered the epicenter of entertainment industry in Nigeria, Anita who did her NYSC at Warri South Local Government Council couple of years ago, averred, " i have missed so many opportunities , because of distance and I feel that going back to Delta State, will help me retrace some hidden mysteries".

 

The beautiful, soft - spoken and humble Nollywood diva, who celebrates her birthday March 22, disclosed that The Johnson's , has been the most rewarding flick, she has featured so far.

 

Ada Wazobia, A Trip to Nija, Full Tree, The Shelter, College of Room and Husband Audition, are some of the Nigerian movies Okhiria Anita has starred .
