Former Secretary to Delta State Government and current Director- General of Warri, Uvwie and Environs Development Agency, Comrade Ovuozorie Macauley, has stressed the need for everyone to practice preventive measures against Coronavirus, saying, " money doesn't save anyone", from the ravaging pandemic .

Comrade Macauley made the assertion at the Warri South Council Main Secretariat in Warri Saturday April 18, when he gave out baskets of rice and beans as well as stipends to 30 aged persons leaving in Warri South Local Government Area.

While acknowledging that the times have become very hard as a result of the COVID -19 Pandemic, Comrade Macauley stressed that the gesture extended to the elderly men and women, was to support them as well as compliment the state government's stimulus package to the vulnerable.

He emphasised the need for everyone, particularly the aged ones to maintain personal hygiene, wash their hands with soap and water always as well as adhere to the advisory on social distancing, in the determination to contain the spread of Coronavirus.

Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Tidi, who also assisted the 30 senior citizens with stipends, emphasised the need for them to stay safe and avoid crowded places, even as the beneficiaries prayed for the Warri South Local Government Boss and Comrade Macauley.
