The World Health Organization, WHO African Region, this morning reports that over 1,600 persons have died in Africa as a result of Coronavirus pandemic.
The WHO African Region in a tweet, also revealed that as at this morning, over 40, 000 COVID - 19 positive cases, have been confirmed in Africa.
The regional body stated : "Over 40,000 confirmed #COVID19 cases on the African continent - with more than 1,600 associated deaths."
