Okere-Urhobo Kingship: No intent to indict Okowa’s Aide- Itifo, Makro families explain

The Itifo and Makro Families of Okere-Urhobo Kingdom, Warri, says its latest position as regards the Peace Committee set up by the Delta State Government, to address the Kingship dispute in Okere-Urhobo, was not intended to indict Special Adviser to the Governor on Peace Building and Conflict Resolution, Chief Edwin Uzor.

Head of Itifo and Makro families, Pa.  (Chief) Franklin Akporiaye and Chief Austin Ighorue respectively, in a clarification released Monday May 18, noted: “As far as we know, the Peace Committee headed by Chief Edwin Uzor, has not made any recommendation regarding the Okere-Urhobo Kingship dispute, rather what Chief Uzor recently did at the Government Annex, Warri was a briefing of elders from the five families that make up Okere-Urhobo Kingdom”.
