Delta State Government has reaffirmed its determination to complete the ongoing construction of Trans- Warri Ode - Itsekiri Bridges and Access Roads in Warri South Local Government Area next year.
The Commissioner for Works, Chief James Augoye, reportedly gave the assurance yesterday, while briefing newsmen shortly after carrying out inspection of some ongoing projects in the area.
The Commissioner further stated that the inspection was to ensure that all contractors handling projects for government were on site in-line with the directives given by the state governor for contractors to return to site following the relaxation of the COVID19 lockdown.
"I must commend the contractors for the great job done so far — I however want to urge them to increase the pace of work to ensure that this project is completed by the end of next year,” the Commissioner was quoted to have said.
