Presidency: Anyone encouraging Atiku to contest in 2023, is deceiving him- Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing
Atiku Abubakar

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide, has declared that anyone encouraging Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to contest for President in 2023 is deceiving him, sayingIgbo support had eluded him”.

While stating that the reported 2023 ambition of Atiku, “is the weakest link to defraud” him, the apex Igbo Youth body in a statement released this afternoon, Thursday June 11, declared: Atiku Abubakar as a Courageous Elder Statesman that should be decorated on June 12 2020 by President Muhammadu Buhari as one the heroes of Democracy, in honour of his deep immense Contributions towards the growth and development of Democracy in Nigeria”.

The statement signed by President-General, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro and Secretary-General, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, opined: “It's on record that Atiku Abubakar had played significant roles with late MKO Abiola to restore democracy in Nigeria starting  from June 12 1993, so Igbo Youths, as our in-law recommend him for National recognition as the African Hero of Democracy 2020,  as the best way to appreciate his efforts and respect his beliefs as an African leader and encourage him to support and respect the Gentleman agreement on Rotational  Presidency between North and South, which will  inevitably allow a Southern Nigeria President to emerge as President Muhammadu Buhari's successor in 2023”.
