The Parish Priest of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Ekurede-Itsekiri, Warri, is dead.
A terse statement obtained this afternoon by Fresh Angle International from a WhatsApp platform, revealed that the cleric died yesterday, Wednesday July 8, after a sudden illness.
The statement reads in part: “DEAR Parishioners. We regret to announce to you the passing on of our Priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Akuirene, the Parish Priest of St Paul's Catholic Church, Ekurede-Itsekiri. He died yesterday after a sudden illness. May his Soul rest in peace”.
