Nigeria now has 58 labs in 30 states, with the capacity to test for COVID-19, following the announcement of 5 new labs by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC.
A statement obtained by Fresh Angle International few minutes ago, from the official twitter handle of NCDC, revealed that the five new Molecular Laboratories are situated at Edo Specialist Hospital, Benin City, Edo State, ATBU Teaching Hospital, Bauchi, Bauchi State, Rivers Indorama Company Molecular Lab, State Specialist Hospital, Amachara, Abia State and University of Abuja, Gwagwalada GX Lab in the Federal Capital Territory.
Expansion of the Molecular Laboratory Network by the NCDC is part of National testing strategy, to check community spread of the Coronavirus pandemic across the country.
