WHO reports over 20,000 COVID-19 deaths in Africa


The World Health Organization, WHO, African Region, has revealed that COVID-19 has so far claimed more than 20,000 lives in Africa with more than 610,000 recoveries from the virus.

A terse statement by WHO African Region obtained by Fresh Angle International, also noted that over 950,000 confirmed COVID – 19 cases, have been reported on the African continent.

A statement reads: “Over 950,000 confirmed COVID19 cases on the African continent - with more than 610,000 recoveries & more than 20,000 deaths cumulatively”.
