Ibori, Oyovbaire make August 4 remarkable in Delta politics - Opuoru


A Chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party and lawmaker representing Warri South Constituency 2 in Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Matthew Poko Opuoru, says the fact that former Delta State Governor, Chief James Ibori and PDP elder in the state, Prof. Sam Oyovbaire, share the same birth date of August 4, makes the date remarkable in the modem political history of Delta State, particularly to members of the ruling PDP in the State.

 

Hon. Opuoru made statement in a goodwill message to felicitate with Chief James Ibori and Prof. Sam Oyovbaire on the occasion of their birthday.

 

While Chief James Ibori clocked 62 today, Tuesday August 4, Prof. Sam Oyovbaire, a renowned academic and one - time Minister of Information hits 79 years on same date.

 

The lawmaker, who described Chief James Ibori as the founding leader of PDP in Delta State, averred  that the intellectual and strategic roles of Prof. Oyovbaire, have helped to strengthen the party in the state and set the tone for a stronger Delta.

 

Hon. Opuoru, wished the duo continous sound health, greater wisdom and knowledge, long life as well as better foresight in their fatherly role geared towards a more prosperous Delta State.
