Towu Moses petitions Police over alleged attempt to murder him

Owner of a block industry in Egbokodo, Warri South Local Government Area in Delta State, one Mr. Towu Moses, has petitioned the Police Area Command in Warri, Delta State, over what he titled: “A case of attempted murder, burglary, unlawful possession of firearms and armed robbery”, on his life.

In the petition signed by O.G Fregene Esq. and dated August 16, 2020, Towu Moses, who wrote through his solicitors, C.V Isiwu & Associates, alleged that he was forcefully told to surrender his land to one Tony Etoromi on Saturday August 15, at the home of a senior man of Egbokodo, where he was purportedly invited for a meeting at about 8.00pm.

According to him, attempts were made to attack him, but he, “was able to extricate himself” and fled with his son.

Towu, also told the Police in the petition that his father’s compound at No. 29 Egbokodo Road, Warri South Local Government Area, was attacked, properties destroyed and the, “group of men”, who allegedly carried out the attack, “made away with the sum of N450,000.00 (Four Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira) which he had received from his customer and hid in his house for future use in his business”.

The Petitioner, who mentioned ten men as being responsible for the attacks on his life and members of his family, claimed that 3,500 (9 inch) cement blocks worth N220 (Two Hundred and Twenty Naira) each was also destroyed.

While stating that he, “is in a serious dilemma”, Towu Moses, appealed to the Police Area Commander in Warri to use his, “good offices to cause an investigation into these affairs for these persons, who have attacked”, him to face the full weight of the law.
